Let’s Just Cancel Christmas
Extra marks if you can spot the appalling use of capital letters in the title.
I think I officially give up on the world. Not the planet – enough people have given up on it that I consider it an under-dog and as such am morally obliged to support the poor planet any way I can. But the world – us idiots living on it, the species – manKIND.
How ironic is it that we refer to ourselves as manKIND and yet so frequently seem so incapable of even the smallest acts of kindness?
Take doors. Apparently, or so I’m told, once, a long, long time ago – in a galaxy far, far away, don’t ya know – people used to hold doors open for each other on a regular, and might I add deliberate, basis. It just wasn’t the done thing not to. Gentlemen even ran around the sides of cars to open the car doors for ladies – back then. Maybe because gentlemen existed back then. Or maybe because ladies did. Either way, doors don’t work the way they used to, and neither do people. Whatever about the impact of supposed gender equality, the biggest issue is that in the absence of any sort of moral compass we are not only quite happy, but in fact utterly delighted, to be rude to each other on a regular basis. We go out of our way to insult and degrade each other – in much the same way we once went out of our way to respect each other.
And so civilization advances – into an early grave.
Speaking of early graves, Mr. Hussein is being treated to one. You have to applaud ‘the Americans’ for standing by their solidly grounded belief in an eye for an eye. The only trouble now is trying to figure out which nation will be allowed to hang George W. first for similar crimes against their people. They may have to toss for it.

shambles is right
The thing is, I keep TRYING to update this page and it keeps going horribly wrong. I’m a bit sick of it, honestly, but here I am with the perseverence and such things…
Nothing has happened. Or maybe everything has. Or maybe I don’t care.
Three days to christmas holidays, and if only they started today. My day served little purpose. Maybe my week did too. I miss feeling like something I was doing mattered.
So maybe I have nothing to say and maybe that’s why this update is both late and empty.
The government is still crap. So is the weather. BLAH.
