Redemption in the form of someone who cares about something (and yes, that’s far too rare):
Patricia Mc Donagh, of the NAPD, grabbed headlines by stating that schools should be about something other than waiting lists and league tables. Shock, horror, etc! You have to love her for saying it though - “We speak of whole school evaluation and subject inspection and students and parents as consumers, when we should be speaking the language of care, nurture, creativity, imagination and exploration,”.
