Girly moment…

Clinique have released their autumn range, and there is a bonus time starting on Thursday (or ‘pay day’ as it is more colloquially known).

It’s like the gods are sending me some kind of message - and who am I to ignore the gods?!

These people are too good for their own… good…

Penguin. They are just amazing. I want to buy them all cake. In fact I want to make them all a giant chocolate brownie sunday with fresh strawberries and raspberries and sprinkles and chocolate sauce and let them all swim in it. They are amazing.

My latest bout of penguin-love was brought on by a trip to Borders at the weekend, where I stumbled upon MobyDickthis glorious copy of Moby Dick. In fact there was a whole selection of them, in true paperback (by which I mean “floppy”), printed in the most deliciously oldschool way - there aren’t even chapter divisions.

Speaking of no divisions, that leads me on to the latest blissful act of brilliance by the good people at Penguin - a celebration of the 50th anniversary of On The Road (definitively one of my favourite books) by releasing a new ‘uncensorsed’ copy. Pure, unadulterated literary bliss.
